However, following the reveal of Barnabas's service to Ultima, Sleipnir is just as devoted to the powerful being as his king, believing that if humanity were to relinquish their free will and consciousness to Utlima, then the world will know salvation. Sleipnir can also be rather smug and manipulative towards allies, as he mocked Hugo Kupka's defeat at Clive's hand that cost him his own hands, goading the Dominant of Titan to absorb aether from the Drake's Fang Mothercrystal to gain his revenge. Barnabas even trusts him enough to speak for him in certain meetings, knowing the intent and feeling of his king on the matter. Joshua's theory is proven correct when a horde of Sleipnir copies surround them, forcing them to hasten their escape from Kanver on the Enterprise. Although he proves to be an extremely capable warrior, he is eventually bested by Clive, and slumps to the ground dead. Sleipnir makes a surprise appearance at Kanver, challenging Clive to a duel to test his abilities. After Kupka's transformation into Titan Lost and his death at Clive's hands, Sleipnir and Barnabas watch and commentate on the downfall of the once mighty Dominant. Sleipnir taunts Kupka for his weakness, goading him into believing that he cannot beat Clive in his current state and manipulating him into absorbing vast amounts of aether from the Mothercrystal's heart to become stronger. Sleipnir's role in the plot to create Mythos becomes clearer when he enters the fray of Clive Rosfield's battle with Hugo Kupka in Rosalith, knocking Kupka out before he could be killed and bringing him to Drake's Fang to recover. He first appears by Barnabas' side during a meeting with the Dhalmekian Republic during a battle between the Dhalmekians and the Iron Kingdom, answering for a disinterested Barnabas. Sleipnir's history is mostly a mystery, and exactly when he came into being is unclear. ![]()
